The management and staff of Gambia International Airlines (GIA) welcome you to this website.

The Gambia International Airlines (GIA) is the national carrier of The Gambia.  It was  incorporated on 23^rd  January 1996, and commenced operations on 1^st March 1996. The company has had a strong operational and financial performance since its inception in March 1996.

The site contains current information on GIA’s operations at the Banjul International Airport.

GIA offers the following services:

3. Travel Agency Services

GIA’s aim is to be the leader in air transport and related services in the sub-region. GIA is continuously improving services to respond effectively to market needs and contribute towards upgrading Banjul International Airport to FAA Category One airport status.

Significant investments were recently made to acquire additional ground support equipment, new acquisitions include motorized steps, Jet Starter and Towbarless Tractor (expediter 160)

The Amadeus Reservation System was also installed at the GIA Travel Agency in Banjul to provide passengers with worldwide  connectivity.

There are also plans to improve and upgrade the services and equipment in the Export and Import Cargo Unit by the end of 2007.

Most importantly, GIA has a well-trained and dedicated work force readily available to answer to your needs.
